What is Dreamwork? Drop all your preconceived western psychoanalytic notions about dreams and dreaming. We are not analyzing our dreams…we are refining and realizing our bigger dreams. We are all dreamers. We direct the attention away from the conscious, critical, analytical mind and move into the wisdom of the heart and soul, which feels, knows, perceives and acts as our compassionate witness, guide and loving support. Throw away your dream dictionaries and participate in the direct transmission of wisdom, joy and peace. A whole other reality, the world-behind-the-world, full of beauty, harmony, wisdom, deeper logic and purpose is available to guide and assist us if we would only dream. Our little dream circle is but one of a growing number striving to bring dreaming back into our culture, form a larger community and dream a new reality into being. Nance is a Dreamworker, Certified Hypnotist and Bodyworker who has had a lifelong fascination with dreams and has formally studied dreams for over 35 years. Most recently she has studied with Robert Moss, a renown Dreamworker, Teacher and Dream Historian. Nance shares techniques and perspectives on reality from her own dream journeys and studies with yogis, dreamers, kahunas and shamans: Swami Sivananda Radha, Richard Reeves, Ruth Lewis, Robert Moss, Harriette Sakuma, Birgit Reichmann, Kahuna Harry Uhane Jim, and Sharon Von Raalte. Since 1976 Nance has taught yoga, meditation, stress management and dreamwork to large groups (corporate and private) as well as one on one private sessions. Dreams have fascinated her since childhood. She has incorporated the profound technique of Robert Moss’ lightening dreamwork into understanding her own dreams over the past 10 years. By re-entering the dream we bypass the conscious, analytical mind and gather insight directly…a method that is quick, inspired and keeps the dream alive. In our once monthly dream circle gatherings dreamers (experienced and novice) come together to re-awaken our indigenous heart, the part of us that knows we are all connected and that experiences reverence towards all beings. In bringing dreaming back to our culture we are part of a larger community that is dreaming a new reality into being. Everything that exists began as a dream! Join others who share in your fascination with dreams and dreaming. Dream, as the beat of the drum makes it easy to receive stories of healing, empowerment and oneness. Tell and dream your bigger story. The dream circle is where we explore sleep dreams, waking dreams (aka lucid dreaming), creativity, imagination, synchronicity and other dream related states. Dreaming on one’s own is powerfully healing and enlightening. The benefits are magnified when done with a support group and sharing the wisdom – we all are teachers and students. In this evening of community dreaming we discuss dreamwork and one person (the “dreamer”) shares a dream in hopes of gathering more insight into it’s meaning with the assistance of the dream circle. Then, carried on the beat of the drum, the “dreamer” and the group (the “trackers”) re-enter that dream asking “if it were my dream what would I want to know?”. This question generates “SPIN-OFF” DAY DREAMS, which are unique to each individual yet connected to the initial dream. Some participants experience full-fledged dreams, others merely capture a feeling, image or phrase – sometimes the smallest message is the most relevant. After we emerge, each dreamer records their dream or impression in their journal. Then, as each dream is shared, its messages and the magical connectedness of all things emerges – synchronicities, commonalities, new perspectives, and deeper insights are received by all. One person’s daydream may have more relevance to someone else in the room other than themselves. Participants are often amazed to find that insights for their own lives emerge as a result…during the circle, weeks, or even months afterward. A simple dream circle lays the foundation for dream working and navigating our lives by synchronicity. This circle tends to relate to the personal challenge of living in the manifest world. Dreaming guides us in ways to live our life to its greatest potential with harmony and abundance. This work connects us to our creativity and vitality. If you have a journal bring it to record your dream re-entry and dreamwork information. Paper and pens will be provided. Novice and experienced dreamers are all welcome to participate in this enlightening experience! No personal information needs to be shared. The privacy of all participants is respected. You are free to share your dream journey experience or participate quietly in the healing energy of the dream circle.
